Deck of Half-Truths

Suppose a raggedy stranger offers you a deck of cards. Would you ask questions? Would you want to know what this is about?
Or would you simply draw a card?

A card is drawn…

The card’s image shows, from a high angle, the still surface of a lake, shallow enough that the rocky bottom can be easily seen. The surface is disturbed only by the wake of something passing, though with nothing visible at its head. The water within the wake is dark and cloudy. Near the edge of the image, more such wakes are coming into view. The card is captioned “The March”.
